Hurricane Katrina
As you know,
Hurricane
Katrina is being described as the worst natural disaster in U.S.
history and has devastated the Gulf Coast of this country.
Its impact on the residents in the entire region is so broad
that it cannot yet be determined. The casinos in New Orleans,
Gulfport and Biloxi employed many Gulf Coast residents.
Many casinos are continuing to pay their employees
even though some of them will be closed indefinitely.
Harrah's entertainment, sponsor of the World Series of Poker (WSOP),
has cancelled the WSOP Circuit event scheduled to be played at the
Grand Casino in Biloxi which was the World's Largest Floating
Casino, but has been washed ashore and destroyed.
The entire
casino
industry is pitching in along with the rest of the world, including
